Kemer lies about an hour from Antalya Airport along a coast road that is worth the drive on its own. With your own car you stop where you want, for as long as you want.
Worth the detour
- Phaselis — an ancient harbour city among the pines, with three bays you can swim in
- Olympos and Çıralı — ruins, a quiet beach and loggerhead turtles
- Yanartaş (Chimaera) — flames that have burned out of the rock for thousands of years
- Göynük Canyon — cold water between high walls, a short walk from the road
Which car?
The road is winding but well surfaced. An economy diesel or LPG car is the sensible choice; for a group the nine-seat van works out cheaper per person and far more comfortable.
